The Ecomuseum of the Valls d'Áneu

The Ecomuseum of the Valls d’Àneu, which is located in the municipality of Esterri d’Àneu, is another of the places with great attraction for people who come to visit the Pallars Sobirà region. It is an ideal place to learn about the culture of the area through the collections of ethnological and archaeological material that are housed there. In this wonderful museum you will feel that you have travelled to the past, thanks to the work of research and recovery of the Pyrenean cultural heritage that is carried out there.

THE HYDROELECTRIC PLANT

The hydroelectric power station inaugurated in 1974 and located in the Tavascán valley is of great tourist interest due to the peculiarity of its architectural characteristics. Many groups enjoy interpreted visits in which they access the underground world in which the plant is located, since it was built inside a cave at 500 m. deep, in the mountain of Pico de Guerón.

The romanesque

The Romanesque is the representative artistic style of the whole region and there are many examples of it in the villages. In Espot you can find the parish of Santa Maria, the hermitage of Sant Jaume and the bridge over the river Escrita. In Estáis you can find the chapel of Sant Ramon and the chapel of Santa Creu. In Son the church of Sant Just and Sant Pastor.
